Murchison Accommodation Bed and Breakfast Lodge
On arrival, your welcome usually involves a drink, some home baking and, if useful, a chat about the local area.

During your stay, help yourself to complementary teas, coffee and edibles in the large guest lounge.

For your convenience, we have a small selection of wines, beers, single malt whiskies and Shirley's homemade liqueurs available. Alternatively, please feel free to bring your own – especially if you've come via the wineries!!

In the evening you can try out the local cafés or historic pubs that serve good evening meals. (There is no self-catering in the Lodge).

We can provide evening meals for parties booking the whole lodge – please contact us for further details.

In the morning a full breakfast is served. Timing is flexible, as we know some people are keen to get going and others may prefer a bit of a lie in! Breakfast includes muesli, bread and yoghurt (all homemade) and the BBQ is often used to prepare the cooked option with fresh eggs from our own chickens. The juice is freshly made from a variety of fruit and/or vegetables (home grown where possible).

For it's size, Murchison has a surprising number of options to eat out including . . .

Rivers Café – A boutique café making 'crafty' use of an old petrol station; great coffee and snacks, tasty lunches and salads and a creative restaurant menu. (Get a 10% discount on a second visit!).

Commercial Café – Big meals including giant burgers!

Rock Snot Café – (Don't be put off by the name!!) Sit by the river and eat good pizzas – or just sit back and 'chill' with a coffee whilst watching the kayakers learn their stuff.

Plus the Hampden Hotel and various tearooms.
